What are Euro-5 and Euro-6 standards?
Euro-5 and Euro-6 environmental standards set requirements for the level of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases of motor vehicles.
The Euro-5 standard was adopted by the European Union, establishing stricter emission standards compared to previous standards. In Ukraine, it came into force in 2016.
The Euro-6 standard was adopted in the EU in 2014 to further reduce emissions and increase the environmental friendliness of road transport. It is currently the latest European environmental standard. In Ukraine, its adoption is planned for 2025.
