Changes to Insurance Policy Issuance Rules

Dear colleagues, please note the updates to the rules for issuing insurance policies.

In accordance with the updated regulatory requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine, entering the tax identification number (TIN) of a client into insurance documentation is now mandatory for all cases.

What exactly is changing?

When booking package tours or purchasing insurance separately in our system, it is now required to provide the following information:

  • For individuals: Tax Identification Number (TIN).
  • For individuals who have officially refused a TIN for religious reasons: passport series and number with the appropriate official note.
  • For children under 14: zeros must be entered in the TIN field.
  • For foreign citizens: zeros must also be entered in the TIN field.

Why is this important?

These changes are introduced as part of enhanced control over financial transactions and increased transparency in the non-banking financial services market. The presence of a TIN in the policy is a critical requirement for:

  • validity of insurance coverage;
  • timely insurance payouts in case of an insured event;
  • accurate reporting to government authorities.

We highly value our cooperation and kindly ask for your understanding regarding these new regulatory requirements.
